Policies, plainly.

This property is designed to create relaxation by stressing the body. The elements of fire and water demand respect. We invite you to listen to your body’s reaction throughout your time in our space. These are the terms you accept here.

The Short Version

You use Puffin Sauna — and everything around it — at your own risk. You are responsible for your body, your belongings, and your conduct. Know your limits, respect the space and the people in it, and ask a guide if you are unsure.

What to expect when you arrive.

Booking & Arrival

  • All sessions are 60 minutes with a maximum of 10 people
  • Full refund or reschedule up to 1 hour before session start time

The Experience

§ 02  /  Safety

Rules that protect everyone.

Fire & Heat

  • The wood stove is extremely hot — do not touch
  • Water may be poured on the stove for steam, but use caution (scalding steam)
  • Do not add wood to the stove — staff manages the fire
  • Staff will add essential oils to the water upon request

Water & Weather

  • Rinse off in the shower before using cold plunge pools
  • No medical supervision on-site. Guests are responsible for pre-existing medical conditions
  • In severe weather (primarily intense wind), sessions may be cancelled for safety. Bookings will be fully refunded
§ 03  /  House Rules

Six guidelines that keep the space sacred.

01

Respect the Space & Each Other

Puffin is a community of adults. Be kind, be clothed in public areas, and bring the kind of presence you want others to bring for you. This is not a bar and it is not a dating club.

02

Mind Your Body

Heat and cold place real demands on the body. Hydrate. Step out if you feel off or faint. If you are pregnant, have cardiovascular or respiratory conditions, or take medications that affect heat tolerance, consult your doctor before using the sauna.

03

Watch the Hot & the Cold

The stove, the stones, the ditch — all of them can hurt you. Watch your step, mind your surroundings, and do not touch what is clearly hot. Accidents happen fastest when attention drifts.

04

Secure Your Belongings

Puffin is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property. Please leave valuables in your car or at home.

05

Phones & Quiet

Keep phones in the changing area. The sauna, the deck, and the water are for presence — yours and everyone else’s. No photos or video of other members without their clear consent.

06

Memberships Can Be Revoked

Puffin reserves the right to suspend or end membership, with or without refund, for unsafe behavior, disrespect toward members or staff, or conduct inconsistent with the values of this space.

§ 04  /  The Property

Respect the land that holds us.

Puffin Sauna operates as a guest on this land. The property is managed by Magnus Veritas, LLC (“Property Manager”), located at 9417 North Foothills Hwy, Longmont CO 80503.

The Property is governed within a 508(c)(1)(a) unincorporated Church & Private Membership Association — Regeneration Station PMA — to whom the Property Manager reports. By entering, you agree to conduct yourself in accordance with the values and governance of the PMA and the direction of the Property Manager.

Treat the land, the buildings, the gardens, and the animals with the same care you bring to the sauna itself. Pack out what you bring in. No fires outside designated areas. No smoking of any kind on the property. When in doubt, ask a guide.

§ 05  /  Assumption of Risk

You are responsible for your own experience.

Sauna use carries inherent risks, including but not limited to: elevated heart rate and body temperature, dehydration, dizziness, fainting, burns from hot surfaces, slips on wet ground, cold-water shock, and aggravation of pre-existing conditions. By using the facilities, you accept these risks knowingly and voluntarily.

We clean rigorously and exceed industry sanitation practices, but shared water and shared sweat carry some risk of skin reaction or irritation. You understand and accept this.

In exchange for being allowed on the property, you release Puffin Sauna Club LLC, its owners, employees, contractors, and affiliates from all liability for injury, illness, property damage, or wrongful death arising from your use of the facilities or participation in any related activity — including claims arising from ordinary negligence. You agree to indemnify Puffin against claims arising from your conduct or violation of these policies.

You must be 18 or older, or accompanied at all times by a legal guardian. A signed waiver is required before first use.

§ 06  /  Left Hand Ditch

Cold water runs through this land on its own terms.

Bathing in the Ditch

When the ditch is flowing, members are welcome to cold plunge in it. The ditch is a working agricultural waterway — not a pool, not a designed cold plunge, and not monitored for depth, debris, current, or water quality.

Bathing in the ditch is entirely at your own risk. You are responsible for assessing conditions before you enter and for knowing your own limits with cold exposure.

The Left Hand Ditch Company owns and operates the ditch and is not liable for any injury, illness, property damage, or consequence arising from use, misuse, or presence in or near the water. Puffin makes the ditch accessible to members as a courtesy; neither Puffin nor the Left Hand Ditch Company assumes responsibility for what happens there.

By entering our gates, using our sauna, or stepping into the water, you accept these policies in full.
